How does OR PRN work? Contact between potentially qualifying pharmacy personnel and OR PRN may be initiated by the individual, a co-worker or a family member. Specific concerns generally pertain to impairment due to chemical dependency, although impairment due to mental or physical disorders may also be cause for concern. Information shared with OR PRN will remain confidential, though not anonymous. Individuals contacting OR PRN must identify themselves and the specific situation which prompted contact. Based on this information, OR PRN will refer for evaluation as necessary. Generally, evaluation by a Certified Drug Abuse Counselor (CDAC) is followed by recommendations from the CDAC and OR PRN. If deemed necessary, the pharmacy professional will be given the choice of signing a contract with OR PRN.
